Consume, Consume
04:47
|
|||
Last night, I had a dream that the world as we know it, was on its knees, saying, “no more I can’t take it, please. Really, how long did you this was going to last?”
Everything that we thought we knew, well it was all gone up in a puff of smoke of lust and greed. Always wanting more, we didn’t stop to think what was behind the door.
It’s a good thing that I was dreaming.
It’s a damned good thing that I woke up when I did.
Consume, consume, well it’s all we knew. Because we didn’t stop to think what we were doing. They say you shouldn’t shit where you’re going to eat, but it was piling up all around our feet.
It’s a good thing that I was dreaming.
It’s a damned good thing that I woke up when I did.
And I was dreaming
Oh, I wish I was dreaming…

Bones
04:24
|
|||
All the books in the world,
could not teach you about
the sound you hear with your soul
when life is unfolding now.
You plant your feet on the ground
and stick your head up in the clouds.
Countless things to be found
with an open mind and hungry heart
Feel it with every inch, every ounce of your bones
Feel it with every inch, every ounce of your bones
Because when you blink it will almost be time to go home
Feel it with every inch, every ounce of your bones
The taste of wine on your tongue
and passion on her lips.
A warm smile from the sun
and a whisper from the wind.
Watch the waves kiss the shore,
as a cozy fire roars.
Under the moon and the stars
there's magic to be found
Feel it with every inch, every ounce of your bones
Feel it with every inch, every ounce of your bones
Because when you blink it will almost be time to go home
Feel it with every inch, every ounce of your bones

Hear the Silence
04:56
|
|||
Plugged in, but I don’t feel connected.
Wired, but I don’t know what’s expected.
Does anyone?
We’re all trying to answer the call,
But who’s on the other line?
Your heart or your mind?
Way too alive to feel so dead.
I pace back and forth when I’m lying in bed.
I’ve been over it, it don’t seem to make sense.
When I close my eyes I hear the silence.
I top my cup up every day,
in different ways,
but I want it to overflow.
We’re all playing the waiting game,
but what are waiting for?
No one is keeping score.
Way too alive to feel so dead.
I pace back and forth when I’m lying in bed.
I’ve been over it, it don’t seem to make sense.
When I close my eyes I hear the silence.

On My Arm
04:02
|
|||
There’s a chance
I won’t remember your name tomorrow.
But it’s completely insane to throw
all this chemistry out the window.
Come on, live dangerously
A brief romance.
Let’s see how you are under cover.
Baby please let’s just please one another.
A friend, a shoulder, and a lover.
If nothing else, we’ve got now
And what are you afraid of?
Is it falling in or losing love?
Well, who knows where we’ll end up?
So for now, just fall… into my arms
Break it and bleed it on my arm.
Take it or leave it on my arm.
Dream it and make it on my arm.
There it is.
Heartbreak is what you’re afraid of.
Who cares? Let’s shake off the labels.
Sometimes faith is what it’s made of.
Tomorrow may never come…
And what are you afraid of?
Is it falling in or losing love?
Well, who knows where we’ll end up?
So for now, just fall… into my arms
Break it and bleed it on my arm.
Take it or leave it on my arm.
Dream it and make it on my arm.

The Smallest Man
03:45
|
|||
And I wish you knew
What it’s like to split in two
Have your best friend at your back
With a knife he will attack
The unsuspecting half
While he smiles and has a laugh
At the good things in his life
Free from struggle and from strife
But the strife he cannot see
Is the one that’s made by “me”
Build it up to knock it down
With a night out on the town
And it grips you like a child
With a hold so tight, yet mild
Tell yourself that it will pass
With a good kick in the ass
You’ll be smarter in a day
Or two, who knows? Maybe
When you’re there you’ll have arrived
And on that day you’ll have thrived
But when does that day come?
Always going where you came from
Running around in circles now
If only you knew how
To get where you want to be
full of vim and struggle-free
but what does that even mean?
mind and body that is lean
He’s the smallest man on earth
Who is afraid of the width and girth
In his life and of this world
Will he ever find that pearl?

Song for Her
03:57
|
|||
She goes home, and she feels alone
No more playing in the streets
No one is calling on the phone
She is on her own in a world unknown
Seems like every eye in the world is watching from above
What do you do when you’re told you have to perform?
Living your life on display, just file in and conform
You’re getting old, so you’re told
And nobody wants you anymore
Can’t she see? Well she’s not like me.
Maybe a little nip and tuck, she’ll improve with any luck
She’s almost there, but beware
She’s never going to feel like she’s getting anywhere
What do you do when you’re told you have to perform?
Living your life on display, just file in and conform
You’re getting old, so you’re told
And nobody wants you anymore
Hang in there…

In a While
04:48
|
|||
A quarter of a century.
When I look at me,
I wonder where I would be
a generation ago.
How things moved slow.
But, there she was, baby boy, so happy.
When I think of us now,
some say lazy, some say crazy,
some say we’re
living in the fast lane
and they feel our pain.
But it’s the pain that makes me feel alive
What did I do to, who did I give to to know you well?
I’ve been blessed to share the best with all of you.
These are the days that we’ll look back at with a smile.
And if we part friends, well it’s not the end,
See you in a while, crocodile
Where will I go?
What will I be?
The spotlight is shining on me
Smile, we are here.
Let’s take a vow
to not let the future take from the power of now.
So just surround yourself with positivity.
These are the time of our lives.
Won’t you embrace them with me?

What's Right at Home?
05:27
|
|||
I think I can admit
that I’m ready to be loved.
Though it’s hard to resist
that look of “I wish I was…
…pressed into your hips
and locked in your gaze”, oh
But how can you give all of yourself when you need every ounce for your own?
So hop on a plane
and fly in search of what
you think that you’re missing.
Can that plane fly into your heart?
Because it’s 10,000 miles to that Seoul
But it’s closer than the one that’s right here at home.
What’s right at home?
Don’t start it up to fight it off in spite of what you’ve done.
You’ve bought it all and sold it off and now you’re on the run.
Just pick it up and finish it, the world is at your feet.
You’ve got a lot to give in love, start by taking it easy
on yourself.
I want to make a living
by making people feel
those things that are locked up inside,
those things they’re afraid are real.
But living a life like that
is food for the soul, but it doesn’t put food on the table.
Am I able?
Don’t start it up to fight it off in spite of what you’ve done.
You’ve bought it all and sold it off and now you’re on the run.
Just pick it up and finish it, the world is at your feet.
You’ve got a lot to give in love, start by taking it easy
on yourself.
